OCAD University WHAT JUST HAPPENED & Nikki White \u2013 THE PAIN OF DESIRE<\/strong><\/p>\n

With record temperatures that day, the gallery heated up and the evening was fun.<\/p>\n

Students from the OCAD University’s Sculpture and Installation Thesis Exhibition<\/em>, What Just Happened<\/em>, took over the Main & Process Galleries at Gallery 1313, while artist Nikki White<\/em> had her first solo exhibit in The Cell Gallery with a photo based exhibit titled The Pain of Desire<\/em>.<\/p>\n

It was good to see some these installations in the space, and visitors got to check out the new works just after they had been critiqued. Plenty of faculty from OCAD U came out to support the student exhibit, as well as family, friends and the usual gallery crowd. The hard work of these students was well received.<\/p>\n

Artist Nikki White was happy to have her first solo exhibit. She had participated in the Emerging Artist Exhibit at Gallery 1313 in January, displaying other photo-based works.<\/p>\n

The second part of the Thesis Program is next up April 4-15. Current exhibitions continue to April 1.<\/p>\n
