Several exhibitions were opening at Xpace’s new location at 303 Lansdowne Avenue. According to director Amber Landgraff<\/em> the new space is about the same size as the former location on Ossington but all on one level.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Artist Janine Miedzik<\/p>\n

The front window work, Fa\u00e7ade<\/em> by artist Janine Miedzik<\/em> used colourful\u00a0 tape to create a wonderful installation. It was the perfect window work to draw attention to the new space. The Main Gallery Space had an exhibition The Archivists<\/em> curated by Cameron Lee<\/em> with works by Melissa Fisher<\/em>, Zoe Solomon<\/em>, and Felix Kalmenson.<\/p>\n

The back space contained several interactive sound works, Makeshift Music<\/em> \u00a0by artist Kate Szabo<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The reception was packed with people\u00a0who came\u00a0to check out the art works in a great new space. Former Gallery Director and artist, Derek Linddington<\/em> was there with his son, Cash to enjoy the new place and the shows as well.<\/p>\n

The show is open February 1 – 23, 2013, gallery hours: Tuesday – Saturday 12 – 6 p.m.<\/p>\n
