On July 25 three very different exhibitions shared a reception. Artist <em>Diana Dickson<\/em>\u2019s exhibition in the Process Gallery, <em>Positive Thinking: What Does it Look like<\/em> was colourful and calming while<em> Light Bringers<\/em> had some disturbing and powerful works.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a guests wearing masks by Fox Xoft<\/p>\n<p><em>J<\/em><em>ohn Nobrega<\/em>&#8216;s<em> Philosopher\u2019s Wall<\/em> (oil on linen) stood out as did<em> Jennifer Humphrie<\/em>&#8216;s paintings, <em>Dr. Lecter<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a 399px\" \/><\/a>Light Bringers, artist John Nobrega (seated) poses with friends in front of his work<\/p>\n<p>Other works were equally strong and <em>curator Lucero Miltxorena<\/em> did a great job of pulling together a group of artists with a variety of approaches to expressing their dark side. <em>Propraetor<\/em>&#8216;s ink on paper drawings were meticulous and detailed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.artoronto.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/Light-Bringers-artists-LucereoMiltxorena-Alejandro-Freeland-and-Jennifer-Humphries.jpg\"><img \u00a0own. <em>Fox Xoft <\/em>had a grouping of her works &#8211; some on rag paper and others were mixed on board &#8211;\u00a0all colourful and dark at the same time.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: her work<\/p>\n<p>The evening had video screenings by artist <em>Jubal Brown<\/em> and later a performance by artist, musican <em>\u03df\u2020N\u03df<\/em> with accompanying video.
