Photo: Nicholas Liang<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Duncan Hannay,<\/strong> Senior VP of Marketing at Scotiabank, the title sponsor for six years of CONTACT, stylishly talked about richness at the press preview: &#8220;Photography really is a powerful medium that captures the richness of a single moment in time. Photo: Mauricio Contreras-Paredes<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bonnie Rubenstein<\/strong>, Artistic Director of CONTACT introduced the program for 2012: &#8220;Stimulated by the renewed global interest in street photography, this year\u2019s festival explores the theme &#8216;Public&#8217; \u00a0in a series of primary exhibitions, site-specific installations, and events across the city. Drawing attention to social and political issues that are framed by photographic images, the works presented challenge the distinctions between our private lives and the public sphere. He calls it, &#8220;public installation on wheels.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.artoronto.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/21.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-10083\" title=\"2\" src=\"http:\/\/www.artoronto.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/21.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"381\" height=\"253\" \/><\/a>Max Dean&#8217;s &#8220;public installation on wheels,&#8221; the Album. So open your eyes, put your shoes on and get out there!
